ONE BODYsm CE Classes

ONE BODY instruction has evolved over 20+ years of teaching massage therapists and bodyworkers skills and techniques to enhance their practice. This instructional system, developed by Linda J McCrea, EdD, LMBT, is modeled on successful practice with bodywork clients over many years.  Results with clients include enhanced overall well-being, client re-education, and integration of body, mind, and spirit – all within comfort for both client and practitioner.

The instructional philosophy and content is strongly influenced by the developer’s longtime practice and instruction of Ortho-Bionomy®, a bodywork system founded by Arthur Lincoln Pauls, DO, based in osteopathic concepts and the use of gentle self-correcting reflexes to stimulate structural balance and client awareness in concert with the proprioceptive nerves.

“Such amazing work, especially if you want to find a way to save your own body while working on clients.  Katrina, Asheville

A ONE BODY Course Series combines several ways of working with specific areas of the body (e.g. back, torso, pelvis) – all within comfort – to relieve stress, pain and imbalances. Instead of just one technique, learn many: movement patterns, release by positioning, isometrics and integration techniques – all in one class!

“Very effective and gentle ways to work that create profound and lasting changes in the client…see results of ‘less is more’.”  – Susan, Birmingham

Companion Self Care classes to each course in the One Body series provide specific exercises for clients – both to release structural imbalances and discomfort, and to integrate changes experienced during a bodywork session.

“Self Care provided easy and effective techniques for myself, and for clients who ask: “What can I do to help myself?”  – Gail, Wilmington

Ethics courses in the One Body system address professional roles, boundaries, and standards as well as exploring stages in serving others.

“The instructor provides a very open and safe environment to share ethical issues and experiences, and to learn and interact with other therapists.” – Nancy, Charlotte

And More – Additional courses utilize reflex points to work with endocrine and neurological systems and organs, or explore subtle energetic self-correcting movements and levels.

“Perfect complement to range of other modalities, and easier on practitioner’s body.” – Dan, Grand Forks
